People say that i'm an interesting person
For most of my life, I have wanted to see the world, to experience different and interesting things, and I have been privileged to have some amazing opportunities to travel. As a child, family and circumstances meant I travelled primarily to London and a few cities in the US, but I was also able to visit must-see destinations across America and Europe along the way. Paris for the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, the storied history of Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur and the famous gargoyles and bell tower of Notre Dame (Quasimodo and Esmeralda not included). Croissant filled walks along the Seine and sipping café au lait at a cafe along the Champs Élysées rounded out the three-day visit. A weekend in Amsterdam including a drive across the countryside to the quaint towns of Bruges and Ghent in Belgium where I sampled some divine profiteroles and rode in horsedrawn carriages. I visited the International Court of Justice at The Hague and saw the exquisite tulips in bloom before visiting the Delft porcelain factory and even catching a glimpse of the queen and crown prince on the balcony of their city palace. Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and Fontana Trevi in Rome, the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle in Milan, Piazzalle Michaelangelo, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizzi Gallery in Florence and more…
Almost a decade ago, finding myself single, footloose, and fancy free, I took a gigantic leap of faith and decided to travel by myself to explore new places and create some amazing memories.

I even got to live out my teenage ‘Pretty Woman’ fantasy by strutting down LA’s exclusive Rodeo Drive.
In the US, riding rollercoasters at Disney World, learning about the world at EPCOT and flying through the Grand Canyon in a helicopter are just some of the amazing things I did. Add to that New York City, with the lights of Times Square, Central Park and beyond, the Art Deco promenade of Miami’s famous South Beach and the breathtaking Niagara Falls on both the US and the Canadian side, and there is not much more a girl with serious wanderlust and champagne dreams could hope for. I even got to live out my teenage ‘Pretty Woman’ fantasy by strutting down LA’s exclusive Rodeo Drive and buying myself something special to wear.

Combining my passion for travel and my love of the written word into a blog always seemed like a no-brainer, but the deep desire to create a ‘perfect’ product and to make sure it was my best work led to endless procrastination, myriad excuses, and a general lack of motivation. A recent vacation to the Arctic Circle served as a much-needed catalyst and a subsequent text exchange and meeting with a mentor was the proverbial kick-in-the-backside I needed to finally sit down and just write.
